Steps to getting started

The process to begin treatment from when we receive the required documents takes approximately 30 days.

01

Intake forms

We will send you the intake forms needed to get started. Required documentation includes: insurance card, psychological assessment with a diagnosis of ASD, and a medical necessity letter.

02

Prior Authorization for assessment

We complete the required clinical documentation and submit it to your insurance provider to secure authorization for the initial assessment.

03

Assessment

We conduct a comprehensive initial assessment in the learner’s natural environment to identify current skill levels and behavior functions. Once completed, a formal treatment plan is developed and submitted to your insurance provider for service authorization.

04

Treatment

Once we receive prior authorization from insurance, we can begin treatment.

Frequently asked Questions:

What ages do you work with?
  • We are currently able to work with individuals ages from 1 to 21.

Where do you provide ABA Therapy?
  • We provide ABA therapy in your child’s home or daycare. We are able to provide services in some private schools if both insurance and the school will allow it. We are unable to provide ABA services in public schools. We are currently serving families in Suwanee Ga and the surrounding areas.

How many hours of ABA are needed?
  • The number of hours recommended is determined by medical necessity following a comprehensive initial assessment. We do not use a ‘one size fits all’ model. Instead, Dr. Best reviews the learner’s current skill repertoire, the frequency of challenging behaviors, and the specific goals identified by the family.
  • Focused ABA: Targeted toward a limited number of specific goals (typically 10–25 hours per week)
  • Comprehensive ABA: Designed for learners who require support across multiple developmental domains (typically 30 or more hours per week).

What Insurances do you accept?
  • Best Behavior solutions is in network with Georgia Medicaid/PeachCare for Kids® Program. We are actively working to expand the insurance companies we work with.
